Our wedding packages are based on a three-day celebration – usually Friday to Sunday but weekday weddings are also an option (get in touch to find out more). We manage event production from setup to takedown, working with tried and tested partners to make sure the key elements of your wedding are well managed. Between us we’ll arrange a wonderful tipi and catering for up to 150 people at your reception, and take care of all the technical arrangements, including lighting, power and facilities.
With all that in hand, you’re free to focus on the fun stuff! Find a florist, choose a photographer and book a band and/or DJ to suit your personal style. The tipi tent is yours to decorate however you like, so you can deck the halls and dress the tables according to your chosen theme.
On the wedding day, bride and bridesmaids can get ready together in Petro, the communal tent at the glampsite (feel free to arrange to have your hair and make-up done here too) before stepping out from the secluded woods into the wildflower meadow for the ceremony* where, on a clear day, views reach as far as the River Severn.
*Please note, Penhein is not a licensed wedding venue so you will need to arrange a legal ceremony or registration separately at an official, legally-recognised location.
Afterwards, continue your celebrations with reception drinks and canapés by the fabulous giant tipi and take in the sensational views across the fields to the valley below. As night falls, and the festoon lights glow through the woodland, head inside the tipi and tuck in to a wedding breakfast feast of free-range hog roast with a delicious selection of side salads and canapes (vegans and vegetarians can also be catered for). Guests sit shoulder to shoulder along trestle tables adorned with the flowers, candles and decorations you’ve chosen and styled for the occasion. After dinner, take your first dance together as a married couple and enjoy the rest of the evening making lifelong memories with your favourite people.
Either side of the wedding day itself you and your guests are free to enjoy Penhein Farm and the surrounding countryside as you please. The glampsite and tipi village are your home for the whole occasion – so settle in, get comfy and enjoy your rural surroundings. There are plenty of things to do onsite and nearby, including group activities, local attractions and lots of adventuring for families and young explorers. You can arrange additional catering and other entertainment for your guests here at Penhein or try your hand at wild cooking in the fire pits dotted around the glampsite.
Good to know: Both Bristol and Cardiff airports are within easy reach, and there are regular train services to and from Newport and Chepstow, so we’re well connected for guests travelling in from afar. For those coming from closer to home, we’re only 20 minutes from the M4 – although you’d never know, given how rural and quiet it is here!
