Penhein Lambing Live!

29th March - 22nd April 2024

We are thrilled to announce our Lambing Live for 2024, exclusive to Penhein guests. With our flock of ewes growing in number, we are excited to announce another season of our popular Lambing Live at Penhein! Guests staying between the 29th March and 22nd April 2024 will have the chance to help with our lambing. You can join the team in the lambing sheds to help gather up newborn lambs, put them in pens, bottle feed (if required) and help feed the ewes. If you are really lucky you may even see a live birth! All at only £35 per tent. Book your stay and then contact us on enquiries@penhein.co.uk or 01633 400581 to reserve your spot as places are limited and are on a first come first served basis. Chepstow Walking Festival

2nd April - 6th April 2024

Join in for 5 days of walking fun! This popular festival provides lots of great opportunities to meet other people who also love walking, make new friends and discover the stunning landscape and rich heritage of the Lower Wye Valley and its borders with England. You can learn more about the countryside and its flora and fauna or discover the rich heritage of the area. There are a range of guided walks for most abilities on offer plus events and an opportunity to improve your map reading skills.

The Abergavenny Writing Festival is about encouraging everyone to write and express themselves. Whether for mental health and wellbeing, as a way of making a living, to bring about change, to keep a record or simply for pleasure. There will be 2 days packed with events for all ages and abilities.

Devauden Music Festival

24th - 26th May 2024

The Devauden Festival has been running since 2010 and is a family friendly event set in the heart of Monmouthshire. With an ethos of supporting quality original artists there will be over 100 musicians and entertainers performing across four stages. There is plenty to keep the younger visitors happy too, in the Kids' Zone. There are children’s entertainers, circus skills, arts and crafts, displays by local groups, bouncy castles and small fair rides, food and non-food stalls. The Glastonbury Festival ‘Big Top’ tent includes stunning views over an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. So you can enjoy the vast array of music in a setting that is hard to beat!

Castell Roc Music Festival - Chepstow Castle

Times:
10th -26th August 2024

Castell Roc is an annual festival held within the stunning Chepstow Castle. The Festival caters for all ages & is recognised for its relaxed & chilled out atmosphere. At night the Castle is transformed into a genuinely epic open air venue. The 15ft thick walls provide superb acoustics and the gently sloping aspect (towards the stage) must make this one of the most breath taking venues in the UK.

Chepstow Agricultural Society is happy to announce the 2024 Show will be held at Chepstow Racecourse on Saturday 10th August. Mark the date in your diary!
