Deep in the Wye Valley, in an area of outstanding natural beauty, The Boat is set right on the banks of the Wye. Built in 1650 of local stone (making it cool in the summer and warm in the winter!) the pub boasts a terraced gardens leading up to a rock face waterfall. There is limited parking on the Penallt side so people regularly park in the Redbrook car park (pay and display). You then stroll over the victorian railway bridge which takes you from England to Wales. They serve a seasonally changing menu of home cooked food, a large range of local ciders and ales from cask to enjoy.
