Get close to nature by day with a Wild Walk at Penhein, exploring the farm, searching the woods, fields and stream for butterflies, birdlife and wildflowers. Penhein is home to lots of exciting wildlife, with the woodlands of particular interest as large parts are recognised as being of national importance through their protection as a SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest). Local naturalist and birdsong expert, Ed Drewitt, will be your guide, helping you search for whatever seasonal treats there are including our larger residents such as Fallow Deer. Ed will show you how to look for tracks and signs of wildlife and then identify the animals and plants you find, tell you more about their lives, and answer any questions you may have. Best times: Morning up to 10:30/11am or afternoons after 2pm.
