Glamping at Penhein

About Penhein Glamping

Glamping at Penhein combines the rustic practicalities of a campsite with the luxury of a boutique hotel and the comforts of home, offering a surprisingly different camping experience. There’s no tent to pitch, no sleeping bag to unroll, and you won’t have to put your wellies on just to go to the loo…

Elegant glamping in woods at Penhein
views

Our glampsite is nestled in a peaceful patch of secluded woods on our family farm in Monmouthshire. There are eight elegant domed tents, each named after the woods and fields on the farm; all are the same size and layout and have been decorated in a rustic, country style with a few exotic touches inspired by Persia. Fresh flowers sit on bedside tables stacked with vintage books; comfy beds (proper ones) are dressed in crisp white linen and colourful quilted bedspreads compliment hand block-printed motifs adorning timber-clad headboards. At the top of the tent, above a group of enchanting hanging tealights, is a skylight for stargazing from the comfort of your bed.

Glamping at Penhein means all you have to do is step outside where adventure awaits. Surrounded by idyllic views and far removed from daily life, there’s freedom to roam and an extraordinary proximity to nature. Glimpse wild deer in historic parkland, chase butterflies through wildflower meadows, and count numerous species of trees in semi-ancient woodland. Take part in one of our many adventures on site or explore the countryside by day and return to a warm and cosy tent in the evening. Soak in a hot bath or luxuriate in your own monsoon shower next to your tent or in our luxurious bathroom block. Barbecue your supper on your own personal fire pit and tuck in at night in a quiet corner of the woods, where your only neighbours are the owls in the trees and the stars in the sky.

We are also delighted to welcome dogs at Penhein. We are happy to see up to two well behaved dogs per tent or, for a whole site booking, we can accept a maximum of six dogs. As we are a working farm with livestock,  and we want all our guests to be comfortable – whether or not they are dog owners – we ask for well behaved dogs only!

If you would like to know more about booking your pooch into Penhein, then send us an email on enquiries@penhein.co.uk and we can send you details.
