Sometimes it takes a few days away from the office to get a new perspective on what goes on there every day. Penhein’s unique location, combined with our experience in organising company team building and away days, make for an out of office session that is truly productive.  

The setup

Whether you need to work on leadership development, agree strategic priorities, or cement a new dynamic within the team, with exclusive use of the glampsite and all catering taken care of, staying at Penhein will give you the uninterrupted time you need to focus on achieving your objectives.

Our two function spaces offer lots of flexibility. Our communal tent Petro is perfect for coffee breaks, meals, or just a change of scene between brainstorms, whilst Chehel Sotoun provides a larger outdoor/indoor meeting space in a stunning grove within the glampsite itself. Although an outside space, it has a glorious stretch canvas cover, open sides for that outdoorsy feel, electricity for the all important sound and lighting and tables and seating enough for all the team. From sit-down dinners to wonderful workshops, this is the perfect woodland space for meetings needing that point of difference. This is all to say nothing of our luxurious accommodation on site and the beautiful countryside that  surrounds it.

Activities

We can help you put together an agenda of activities and events specifically tailored to meet the objectives of your off-site. The Wye Valley and Forest of Dean has lots of team-building activities to get stuck into, and there are some great options at Penhein – from bushcraft to all-day adventures and problem-solving. Leave your devices behind, turn on your out of office message and pack your adventurous spirit!*

*We appreciate it’s not always possible for an entire team or company to go completely off radar. For those needing to check in with the real world every now and then, there is 4G on the glampsite (but no wifi).

We understand the requirements and expectations of those in charge, and we are well-equipped to meet your needs. To help you put together the perfect off-site team or leadership development programme, our organising team can boast over 40 years experience in both personnel and team development and event organising. We know that team-building events can be a logistical nightmare to organise, particularly when you don’t know the venue, and that there are often very real challenges to address during the session – it is not ‘just a jolly’.  We can help take away much of that stress, meaning groups can focus on making the most of being in a different setting to get a fresh perspective on their business and how they work together as a team.
