Boutique Bathing

Bathing at Penhein

We’re rather proud of our bathing arrangements, with every tent having its own dedicated shower or bath, and we have a new accessible Woodland wash house with loo and shower. It may not sound all that romantic, but even our Shower Block and Drying Room are a little slice of home-away-from-home heaven in the woods…

SHOWER BLOCK

Wood clad on the outside with a Mandarin Stone tiled interior and sumptuous underfloor heating, the Shower Block is home to four hot monsoon showers, beautiful Belfast sinks, and a flushing loo. The monsoon showers are allocated to the Atalanta tents The Cribbau, The Oakes, The Park and The Slades tents.

The ultimate (and somewhat unexpected) luxury, though, is a glorious roll-top bath to revive and rejuvenate at the end of a long day outside. This is allocated to the Atalanta tent, The Coombe.

All of these come with a complimentary set of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel and we supply you with your own towel for your stay. The Shower Block also has electric sockets for the all important hairdryers and the personal touches of mirrors above the basins and dressed with fresh flowers from local suppliers.

WOODLAND WASH HOUSE

This new addition to the glampsite can be allocated to a specific tent for guests with limited mobility (at other times it is open to all). The wash room is accessible, with step free access, wide doorways, grab rails and lowered sinks. It has a loo and shower with a sliding door between them to create a single bathroom, if required. There is also an additional separate loo for groups holding events at Chetal Sotoun.

The Woodland wash house stays true to our vision of a little little home-away-from-home heaven in the woods, with wood clad walls, electric sockets, mirrors and fresh flowers.

We have been able to open the wash house thanks to funding from UK Government via the Shared Prosperity Fund.

OUTDOOR SHOWERS

Three of our tents have their own personal enclosed monsoon shower just outside their door – the Artemis tents  Cae Solomon, Catta Dee and Castroggi.

DRYING ROOM

Whilst we’d all like to pretend we live in a tropical paradise, sometimes it does rain – even in sunny Wales on a glamping holiday. Should you get caught short by a sudden downpour whilst out and about, hang wet clothes and walking boots in our specially-made drying room. They’ll dry off overnight ready for another day of adventuring.
