Our Alachigh Tents

You say Luxury Glamping Pods, we say Alachighs. An alachigh tent (“alla-cheeg”) is similar to a yurt and originates from Iran, where it is still used by the nomadic Shahsavan tribe. Our eight alachighs have been custom-made for glamping; cosy yet spacious, simple yet elegant, with a view to the stars from your pillow.

The Atalanta Tents

First we have The Atalanta tents (named after the Goddess of Adventure), five beautiful and luxurious glamping tents – The Coombe, The Cribbau, The Oakes, The Park and The Slades. Inside each of these you’ll find a king-size bed (or two singles if you’d prefer), two truckle beds and a sofa bed, all with crisp white linen included. There’s plenty of room to eat, sleep and relax beneath the high domed ceiling – our alachighs can accommodate a family of two adults and up to four children or a group of five adults.  A table and chairs occupy the kitchen area, and the cupboards are well-stocked with cooking essentials, including pots, pans, crockery, and a cool box.  The natural springs on our farm supply water to the sink, and there’s a wood-burning stove for brewing your morning cup of tea or coffee. Step outside into your own private outdoor space with a firepit for cooking, rustic seating and useful sidetables, the perfect place for campfire stories and toasting marshamallows

Last but not least, there’s an en-suite flushing loo attached to every one of our tents and each of the tents has its own dedicated bathing arrangements:

• The Coombe is allocated the Victorian style roll top bath in our glorious showerblock
• The Cribbau, The Oakes, The Park and The Slades are each allocated a luxury monsoon shower, also in the showerblock
• All of these options come with a complimentary set of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel and we supply you with your own towel for your stay

The Artemis Tents

If you are looking for a little bit of extra luxury we have the three Artemis tents (named after the Goddess of Nature), available for a small premium – Cae Solomon, Castroggi and Catta Dee.  Each one a winner of a Visit Wales Gold Award, these lovely tents have all the creature comforts listed in the Atalanta tents, but come with the addition of an enclosed private shower immediately outside the tent, with hot water and monsoon shower. There is also a fabulous large outdoor hammock, ready made for sharing, and a deluxe iron gridle frame over the firepit (the beauty of these barbecues is that the grill grate can be raised or lowered to provide heat control). To finish, the larger loo pod in these three tents also has its own stylish hand basin.
