November 29, 2023
Another season is over, and the site has been cleared and made ready and snug for the winter. It will sit quietly for the winter while nature keeps to her own pace. In turn, it is at this calmer time that we start planning for the season to come and we already have some wonderful ideas for 2024..
1.Deer and Bird Hide
We receive many lovely comments about how wonderful it is to be so close to nature and how much wildlife guests can see, so we thought what better way of helping you get up close and personal than a Deer and Bird Hide. Ready for our 2024 season and set up in the perfect spot, our new hide, with benches by the windows, will be camouflaged to make spotting deer, foxes, hedgehogs, owls, buzzards, hawks (and more) as easy as possible. A wonderful way to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature – all you need to do is remember to pack your binoculars!
2. Lambing Live 2024!
With our flock of ewes growing in number, we are excited to announce another season of our popular Lambing Live at Penhein! Guests staying between the 29th March and 22nd April 2024 will have the chance to help with our lambing. You can join the team in the lambing sheds to help gather up newborn lambs, put them in pens, bottle feed (if required) and help feed the ewes. If you are really lucky you may even see a live birth! All at only £35 per tent. Book your stay and then contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org or 01633 400581 to reserve your spot as places are limited and are on a first come first served basis.
3. Planning a Party?
It’s that time of year when there’s a lot of party planning underway, and not just for Christmas! Weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, hen parties, reunions, we love to host them all. Hire the site for your dream party or a glampsite takeover for friends and you get our eight luxury alachighs, sleeping up to a total of 48, our stunning stretch marquee dining and party space and our additional all-purpose indoor space, Penhein is a blank canvas on which to make your own magic. No marquees to book, no taxis required or accommodation to worry about, just a venue of dreams and adventure – and breathtaking scenery and stunning countryside all around.
4. It’s the Little Things….
Never ones to sit still, we are already planning yet more small, but perfectly formed, additions to our wonderful tents for next season. Three more of our tents will have hammocks outside, we will be providing a specially designed Adventure Map (showing the best picnic spots, stargazing points and glorious views, where to play Pooh Sticks, go paddling or find the best walks), adding toe comforting sheepskin rugs, smart and subtle hanging rails, complimentary bathing products (eco of course!), additional outdoor seating and tables around your tent’s fire pit and even an upgraded recycling system for each tent as part of our sustainability ethos. And there maybe more to come, so keep an eye out..
