Spring into action: the glampsite is open!

Drum roll please…. We’re delighted to declare Penhein Glamping officially open for a new season of adventure! After four months of hibernation and several busy weeks of preparation, we are now excited and ready to welcome happy guests and excited glampers for our fourth year.
We can’t wait to show you what’s in store – read on for the big reveal…
WHAT’S NEW AT PENHEIN?
We’ve spent the last month or so sprucing up the glampsite and putting the finishing touches to our refurbishment projects.
We’ve revamped the shared kitchen with a shiny new toaster, hobs, kettle and a microwave (now you know why it’s called the ‘cheat’s kitchen’).
The communal tent, affectionately known as Petro after James’ grandfather’s farm in Iran, has had a spring clean and a minor facelift and now looks even more welcoming and beautiful.
Inside, there are two huge toy boxes filled with games and toys: cards and board games for indoor entertainment cosied in beside the wood-burning stove, and bats, balls and frisbees for fun in the fields. We’ve also put up football posts for a friendly five-a-side – we’re all set for outdoor adventures aplenty!
Elsewhere, we’ve done inventory checks and replenishing rounds and made sure every tent is well-stocked with all the necessary bits and bobs for your stay. We’ve counted cutlery, stacked logs, bounced on beds, and washed, ironed, folded and fitted blankets and bedlinen.
As mentioned in February’s newsletter and blog post, these inspections, preparations and updates are all part of our ongoing commitment to creating an exceptional camping experience for our guests. We want you to feel at home in the great outdoors, so we provide everything you need to do just that – from the basics to the boutique, the fundamental to the really rather fabulous.
IF YOU GO DOWN TO THE WOODS TODAY…
Talking of the great outdoors – it just so happens that our opening weekend coincides with the clocks going forward, when British Summer Time officially begins. It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for, and frankly it couldn’t come soon enough. We can’t wait to see the countryside around us transform into a verdant wilderness – and it seems nature can’t either, as the fields and farm are bursting to bloom with new life. Shoots of wild garlic are cropping up in the woods and encircling the tents, their heady scent lingering in the air. Wildlife is beginning to stir, our fields are already filled with gamboling lambs, and soon the sounds of the farm will come together in a cacophony of bleating, neighing, and tweeting.
