Gather Friends and Family at Penhein

A wonderful 2024 season is now over. The tents are closed, everything is packed away safely for the winter, our stunning outdoor party marquee, Chehel Sotoun, has come down and the site itself has settled into a serene winter silence. Normally this is a time for reflection, but in fact we’re still buzzing from a season that has been packed with fun, laughter, adventure and, for some, the words “I do”!
2024 has been a bumper year for full site bookings, with guests organising weddings, birthday parties, team awaydays, hens and stags and a school reunion to boot. A comment we consistently receive is how lovely it is to have exclusive use of the site for a special occasion. We obviously agree and so we thought we would give you an idea of just some of the ways you can use Penhein for a glorious gathering of your own.
1. Weddings
For weddings, Penhein offers something a little different – a magical Woodland Wedding hosted in our beautiful glampsite, the perfect venue for a small, intimate wedding party – a micro wedding if you will.
The glampsite is nestled in a secluded woodland in the centre of Penhein Farm. Along with our luxury accommodation there is a stunning stretch marquee party space, big enough for your guests to dine, dance and mingle. There is also a beautiful, all purpose indoor space, ideal for the bridal party or perhaps as a chillout space during the celebrations.
With exclusive use of the site, you can decorate the spaces, and the site, as you like to make the woodland festival wedding of your dreams.
2. School Reunions
If you are looking for somewhere to relax, chill out and have some fun, then look no further than Penhein Glamping! With so many activities to enjoy whilst on site, there is a lot fun to be had before chilling out in the evening, catching up on everyone’s news, renewing old friendships, sharing memories (and making new ones!).
3. Birthdays
Birthdays are another forte of ours so join us for the perfect birthday surprise in a stunning venue surrounded by nature. Many of our birthday organisers keep the venue a secret until driving up the drive. What a fabulous idea, and what’s more we can provide the cake and decorate the right birthday allacheeg (otherwise known as your tent….) in advance of your arrival. You can then also decorate one or other (or both) of our communal areas in birthday clothes ready for a party for the whole group. On request, we can help with the catering and we also offer an additional range of party hire items to help you on your way. Just give us a call.
4. Families and Friends
Here’s the thing. You don’t need to have the excuse of celebrating a special occasion to have a wonderful time at Penhein. More and more we are welcoming groups of friends or extended families (or a mix of both) for a stay where they can all mingle and have some fun and adventure. We cater for all ages (think Mini Adventures Club for the U6 or Archery for the Over 13) including Family Bushcraft where all the generations can join in.
5. Hen and Stag Parties
If you want to have a fun filled, laughter fest of a hen or stag stay then here we are. We combine our wonderful outdoor spaces, surrounded by nature, with a long list of great things to do as an adult group, from flower crown making to bushcraft with a bush tucker trial, axe throwing or even archery. You can decorate the site as you would like, arrange your own menus and cooking, spend time together having fun and relaxing in the quiet of the wooded site.
6. Corporate Outings and Team Building
Sometimes it takes a few days away from the office to get a new perspective on what goes on there every day. Penhein’s unique location, combined with our experience in organising company team building and away days, make for an out of office session that is truly productive.
We offer the perfect combination of team building adventure, luxury accommodation, gathering spaces for the getting to know the team sessions and an indoor space with electric sockets, tables, seating and a warm woodburning fire (if needed) for the more formal part of your stay. Book the glampsite exclusively and transform Penhein into a venue for a variety of wellbeing retreats. We can cater for all types of courses and classes, including meditiation, fitness, walking, wellness, yoga, art or writing.
