Glorious Glamping for Groups

There are so many ways to enjoy Penhein, and here’s another! Have you thought about a Glampsite Takeover?
If you are planning a birthday or anniversary, a reunion or retreat or just a fabulous get together with friends and family, then Penhein has everything you could want. A beautiful glampsite, nestled in ancient woodland and opening on to a wildflower meadow, with views stretching to the River Severn, this is the perfect place to find that slowed down, relaxed, outdoor vibe for a party like no other.
1. Gather Together
We have two wonderful covered areas in the glampsite, perfect for meeting as a group. Firstly is Chehel Sotoun, a stunning grove within the woodland area. This gorgeous outside/inside space has a glorious stretch canvas cover, open sides for that outdoors party feel, tables and seating for up to fifty guests and electricity for the all important sound and lighting.
Then there is the peaceful Petro, a larger version of one of our accommodation alachighs but smaller than Chehel Sotoun. This beautiful tent offers a cosy space, comfy armchairs, electrical sockets and enough tables and benches for an intimate celebratory sit-down dinner. With its own wood burner and a box of indoor and outdoor games for all ages, you can use Petro as a chill out zone or the perfect gathering place for adults and children alike.
To top all this off, you will have access to our wildflower meadow, with its giant BBQ and firepit and breathtaking views down the valley and across the River Severn.
2. Sleep in Luxury
Staying at Penhein means there are no taxis to book or hotels to find. Our eight luxurious, self-catering alachigh tents, situated in three acres of glorious woodland, can sleep up to forty adults or forty eight if a mixed group of adults and children. With a woodburning stove and ensuite loo in every tent and a firepit outside every door, each one is a glorious little home from home where guests can take a break from the celebrations. Book the whole site and you can fill these wonderful tents with friends and family.
3. Eat, Drink and be Merry
When it comes to catering, you may wish to handle it all yourself. If so, we have the Cheat’s Kitchen conveniently situated next to Chehel Sotoun. You can use this as a base for your culinary adventures and your friends can join in too, as it has its own bar looking in so they can keep you company while you work! Alternatively we have curated a hand picked selection of wonderful suppliers to help create the unique party. From Persian woodland banquets and foraged feasts to hog roasts, vintage ice cream sellers and a cocktail bar, we have all these and more. All dietary requirements are covered, so no-one will be left out.
4. Adventures Galore
As you are staying a few days, there’s time to explore the great outdoors. Here at the farm we offer a host of adventures including bushcraft, clay pigeon shooting, foraging, treasure hunts and much more. You will need to book in advance, but with such a wide range of options we think all your guests will find the perfect plan. Alternatively you can venture off the farm and explore the nearby Wye Valley and Forest of Dean for more excitement and for all ages too!
5. Just Chill
Perhaps best of all is that Penhein Glampsite is the perfect spot to simply sit…and chill….and chat…..and share memories. Gather around the campfire, go for a picnic, plan a yoga session or book one of our luxurious relaxation treatments and you will leave Penhein refreshed, reinvigorated and with memories of times spent with friends and family that will last forever.
