What's New at Penhein

Did You Know? A roundup of some useful things to know about Penhein

February 9, 2025

We can’t believe how quickly time is passing and the start of our 2025 season is in sight (28th March is the big day). We thought this would be a great time to list a few things about Penhein that some readers may not know and that make up just a part of what we offer. So here we go with a short list asking Did You Know…….

…..we offer childcare?

We are only too well aware that on a family holiday it is sometimes difficult for parents to find time for themselves. This is why we offer a variety of supervised activities for children, so you can have a little downtime! We are delighted to say that our Mini Adventurers’ Club and our Junior Bushcraft are back for 2025. Both of these bookable activities offer 2-3 hours of peace for parents and excitement for children. We are also adding to our children’s adventures with a soon to be announced Penhein Farm Olympics, a seasonal Easter Eggstravaganza and a Crafty Halloween Special. Watch this space!

….about our catering options

Holidays are supposed to be about less work, not more. Here at Penhein we have a variety of catering options to make your stay a little easier. We are delighted to partner with the lovely Kate at Orchard Kitchen to offer a variety of menu ideas for groups of all sizes, offering delicious, freshly prepared meals for your stay. We also have the Penhein Pantry on site, full of lots of treats and goodies, including hand cooked frozen meals and meat from the farm. As a final idea, all the local supermarkets know us well, so you can pre-order all your food and have it delivered ready for your arrival. Genius..

….about our range of Relaxation Treatments

Holidays are all about relaxing and what could be better than having a massage or facial while you are staying at Penhein? Check out our wide range of pampering treatments and choose one (or two!) for a treat. We are adding more this year, which will on our website soon and they can all be done in your own tent!

…..we offer a wide range of on site adventures!

We offer nearly 30 different bookable adventures here at Penhein, from the robust (Bushcraft or Archery anyone?) to the quiet (Yoga) to the contemplative (Forest Bathing), to name just a few. You can try your hand at axe throwing, clay pigeon shooting or stargazing, go potty with a pottery wheel, forage for your feast or become nerdy for nature. All of these and more, without having to leave the farm.

…Sustainability is everything at Penhein

A question we are frequently asked is about sustainability. Our answer is simple, it means everything to us and we are always looking for ways to improve. We take real pride in what we do but also in the recognition we have gained. Our latest is an award from The Green Parent Magazine, we are currently shortlisted for the national Visit Wales sustainability award – The Bro & Byd Award (results in March), we are holders of Green Tourism Gold standard and the Welsh Green Key accreditiation which is all about unlocking sustainability in the tourism industry. As Green Tourism says Penhein Glamping’s commitment to sustainability cannot be questioned and they are a business that will continue to go from strength to strength as they progress along their green journey.’
