2023 Season in Sight!

Well our 2023 season is firmly on the horizon. We open on the 31st March and are so excited to welcome our first guests.
We receive so many kind words and suggestions from our visitors and we realise that Penhein is many things to different people – luxury glamping at its best, yes, but also an off grid, nature loving, adventure giving, quietly calming, totally relaxing holiday experience to treasure. Whatever you enjoy, Penhein has it in spades, so if you haven’t booked already why not join us for some indoor luxury and outdoor adventure. We reckon we are so much more than just Glamping….!
1. Easter Nest Building & Egg Hunt
We definitely haven’t been hibernating this winter. Oh no. We’ve been busy adding some fabulous new adventures at Penhein for you to enjoy. First up, get your Easter creative juices flowing and learn how to create and decorate a nest for your Easter table. This will be followed by a fabulous Easter Egg hunt, with hot chocolate and homemade cookies to get you in the Easter mood. Contact us to make a booking. Hunts take place on the 6th & 8th April, start time 9.30am for approx 3 hours. £15 for children U16, £20 for adults.
2. Take a walk on the Wildside
We are delighted to welcome the wonderful Ed Drewitt to the Penhein team. Ed is our go to nature expert and he will be offering a series of Dawn and Dusk Safaris, featuring birdsong and all its meanings. Or you can opt for one of his fabulous wild walking sessions where you can discover some of the wide range of wildlife Penhein has to offer. These add to our existing, ‘wildly’ inspired list of things to do while holidaying at Penhein!
3. Lambing Live at Penhein
Here’s your opportunity to experience life in a lambing shed. Our ewes have been scanned and we are so excited to be expecting over 100 lambs this season. Book a stay between the 31st March and 25th April and you can help with our lambing, gathering up newborn lambs, putting them in pens, bottle feeding (if required) and feeding the ewes. If you are really lucky you may even see a live birth! Contact us when you have booked, as places are limited and on a first come first served basis. Sessions are every Tues, Thurs, Sat and Sun from 1st April until 25th April, 6.30am and 4.00pm each day for about an hour. £25 per tent.
4. Two Day Treats
Guests often ask about the possibility of staying two nights over a weekend and we love to please, so we are delighted to announce the introduction of a series of two night weekend stays at various points this season This is in addition to our standard three night weekend stays. Check out our new calendar for prices and availability.
5. Gourmet Forage and Feast
A big talking point at the moment is better use of our wonderful countryside and all it has to offer. We have always been big fans of foraging and encourage visitors to join in. This season we have added a fabulous Gourmet Forage and Feast option for those foodies amongst you. This is another wonderful addition to our very popular list of foraging options on site, not just for food. We offer a a Gin Foraging experience and a specialist, seasonal Mushroom Foraging session. Welcome Cwtch, our new outdoor seating space with giant firepit outside Chehel Sotoun, perfect for some fireside chatting; take a look at our extended list of relaxation treatments – Reiki anyone? and we’ve been busy planting over 100 new trees around the site to continue improving our biodiversity and habitat. We are still adding to our list of adventures for guests to enjoy so keep an eye on us and be first with the news.
